European Solidarity Corps - Volunteer Abroad

European Solidarity Corps / Erasmus+ Youth Norway

The European Solidarity Corps volunteer program allows young people aged 18-30 to work as volunteers in one of 32 European countries for two to twelve months. Participants can work on projects related to culture, environment, children and youth, sports, integration, or other themes of interest. The program provides comprehensive support including all expenses covered, pocket money, language courses, insurance, seminars, and a dedicated mentor. Volunteers work 30-38 hours per week and receive work experience while learning a new language and culture. All expenses are covered with no requirements for education, experience, or language skills. The program is fully funded through the European Solidarity Corps, with host organizations applying for support on behalf of the volunteers.

Erasmus+ Akkreditering (Accreditation)

Barne-, ungdoms- og familiedirektoratet (Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs)

Erasmus+ Accreditation provides organizations with a simplified, predictable, and flexible way to conduct mobility projects. Organizations that wish to carry out regular projects and use the Erasmus+ program as part of a long-term and strategic plan for youth work should apply for accreditation. With an approved accreditation, organizations do not need to submit a complete application each time they apply for funding. The accreditation currently applies to youth group exchanges and training for youth workers. Accredited organizations are guaranteed a minimum amount when applying for activity support and can apply anytime, not limited to regular call deadlines. The accreditation is valid from 2021 to 2027 and only applies to the youth component of Erasmus+.

Tilskudd til koordinering av lokalt arbeid

Barne-, ungdoms- og familiedirektoratet (Bufdir)

This grant supports municipalities in Norway to coordinate, facilitate, and organize collaboration internally within the municipality and between the municipality and other actors. The goal is to increase participation of children and young people (ages 0-24) at risk of social exclusion in leisure activities. Coordination work must occur at the systems level. Municipalities can establish or further develop collaborative structures, create action plans for increased participation in leisure activities, develop overviews of leisure activities, create routines for collaboration, and work toward good information exchange among all who work with the target group. The coordination work should be based on existing conditions related to children and young people's participation in leisure activities in the municipality, including identifying barriers to participation and existing support measures. Youth participation should be facilitated through methods such as youth conferences or inclusion of student/youth councils in coordination work.
