Surrey/ICE Scholarship

The Surrey/ICE Scholarship is a collaboration between the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the University of Surrey, and leading companies in the civil engineering industry. The scholarship provides a bursary of £1,950 every year combined with salaried training in industry throughout the course of study. Successful applicants are matched with a suitable company mid-way through their first year, where they receive practical training throughout their degree program. Students spend the summer vacation after each academic year doing paid training with their sponsor company. This unique combination of industrial training and academic study is designed to enhance career potential and provide a fast-track route to employment upon graduation and chartered engineer status. The scheme offers students the opportunity to integrate theoretical learning with real-world experience in civil engineering, gaining up to 16 months of industry experience by the time they graduate.

Physics Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey. The scholarship is awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only, or as a cash award for students living outside of University accommodation. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. This opportunity is specifically designed for students entering physics-related programs including Physics BSc/MPhys, Physics with Astronomy, Physics with Nuclear Astrophysics, and Physics with Quantum Computing.

Nursing and Midwifery Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey in nursing and midwifery fields. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only for students living in University accommodation. Students living outside of University accommodation will receive this as a cash award instead. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application-based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Applicants must hold an offer to study full-time bachelor's or integrated master's degree programmes in Midwifery or Nursing Studies (Adult, Children and Young People, or Mental Health Nursing) at first-year entry level. The scholarship is specifically for UK students with home fee status starting in September 2026 who have made their course application through UCAS by 14 January 2026.

Microbiology Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey. Awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only, this scholarship supports students demonstrating academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. Successful applicants must hold an offer to study Microbiology BSc (Hons) at the University of Surrey, starting in September 2026. Applicants must have home fee status and have made their course application through UCAS by 14 January 2026. Foundation year applicants cannot be considered for this award.

Mathematics Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will receive this as a cash award. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Eligible students must hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in mathematics-related subjects including Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics and Physics, or Mathematics with Data Science.

Literature Undergraduate Scholarship

The Literature Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to UK students with home fee status who hold offers for bachelor degree courses or integrated master's programmes in English Literature or English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Surrey. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. For students living outside of University accommodation, this is offered as a cash award. Successful applicants demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Applications must be submitted by March 27, 2026, and successful applicants will be contacted by April 24, 2026.

Languages Undergraduate Scholarship

The Languages Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the University of Surrey to UK students with home fee status who have received an offer to study specific language and literature courses. The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. This automatic award is available to students studying English Literature and French, English Literature and Spanish, Modern Languages (French and Spanish), Business Management and French, or Business Management and Spanish at the bachelor's degree or integrated master's level. Students living outside of University accommodation will receive this as a cash award instead. The scholarship aims to support UK students pursuing language studies at Surrey and is awarded to offer holders who make the university their firm choice by the specified deadline.

International Excellence Award (Undergraduate)

This prestigious £5,000 award recognises academic excellence and is awarded to selected students starting a bachelors degree at the University of Surrey. The scholarship is awarded as a £5,000 fee waiver and is open to self-funded international fee-paying students regardless of nationality or domicile. The scheme is application based and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel who assess previous academic performance, predicted grades and the personal statement to make their decision. Surrey must be your firm choice on a UCAS application to be considered for the award. This award is available for the first year of an undergraduate degree only and is not open to students from Surrey International Study Centre (SISC).

Food Science and Nutrition Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes at the University of Surrey, specifically for students studying Food Science and Nutrition, Nutrition and Dietetics, or Nutrition. The scholarship is awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will be offered this as a cash award. Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. Applicants must be UK students with home fee status, starting in September 2026, and hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in one of the eligible subjects. Applications must be made through UCAS by 14 January 2026.

Electrical and Electronic Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship

Chemistry Undergraduate Scholarship

The scholarship provides a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will be offered this as a cash award. Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded as a £1,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. Students living outside of University accommodation will be offered this as a cash award. Eligible students must be UK students with home fee status, starting in September 2026, and hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors or integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in Chemical Engineering BEng (Hons) / MEng or Chemical and Petroleum Engineering BEng (Hons) / MEng.

Fulbright - Durham University Award

The Fulbright Award offers generous financial support to postgraduate applicants wishing to pursue a one-year Masters or higher research programme in the UK. One Fulbright - Durham University Award will be offered to applicants from the US wishing to pursue a one-year Masters or higher research programme (or the first year of a Masters or higher research degree programme) in any eligible programme at Durham University. The award offers generous financial support for one year of study in the UK, including full payment of tuition fees along with an allowance towards general maintenance costs whilst in the UK. The personal living allowance is intended to help cover the cost of living in the UK as a student and is subject to annual review. Additionally, the award includes organizational memberships, membership to national arts and culture organizations, sickness and accident coverage, and networking opportunities.

Hogan Lovells Scholarships

The Hogan Lovells Scholarship assists undergraduate students embarking on the LLB Law or Law with Foundation LLB programme who have a desire to practice commercial law. The University gratefully acknowledges the generous gift bestowed by Hogan Lovells International LLP. Four Scholarships are offered per academic year, awarding scholars with up to £9,000 of financial support for the first years of their academic studies on their Law programme. At Hogan Lovells, they believe that access to the legal profession must be open and fair and aim to break down barriers that may deter talented individuals. The scholarship scheme includes not only funding but also access to Hogan Lovells contacts to find out more about commercial law, help navigate the recruitment process and provide greater insights into opportunities available following studies. The scholarship can be paid towards tuition fee costs, accommodation or directly into the recipient's bank account in termly instalments.

Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust Museum and Gallery Studies Award

The School of Art History at the University of St Andrews invites applications for the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham Trust Museum and Gallery Studies (MGS) Award. The award is worth £5000 and is open to those aiming for a future career as a curator of art. A condition for the scholarship is that the applicant's curatorial focus relates closely to art history. The award will be granted to a student who is commencing their studies in September 2025 on one of the following MHS postgraduate options: Full time MLitt in Museum and Heritage Studies, MSt(Res) in Museum and Gallery Studies, MPhil in Museum and Gallery Studies, or PhD in Museum and Gallery Studies. The funds will in the first instance be used to cover tuition fees. Any outstanding funds may be used to cover research expenses, such as, but not limited to, materials, rights and reproductions. The award is for one year only and if the course is longer than one year, the award is payable in the first year. Applicants must have been offered a place on the MHS postgraduate programme and have a first degree in Art History or a related subject or have other supporting evidence of a commitment to a career as a curator of art.
