The Alberta Blue Cross Entrance Scholarship is an annual award of $750 provided to first-year students at Concordia University of Edmonton. This scholarship recognizes superior academic achievement and supports students who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is awarded to Alberta residents based on the academic standing of 30-level subjects used for admission. Recipients may not be receiving other awards totaling more than $3,500. The scholarship is awarded automatically in September of each year, with no application required from eligible students.

The Wanda Wyatt Scholarships are awarded to graduates of a PEI high school who demonstrate potential to contribute to the long-term development of the province. In keeping with Wanda Wyatt's belief in the value of the arts, recipients must demonstrate an aptitude or interest in the cultural or artistic dimension of life. Wanda Wyatt was a longstanding benefactor of UPEI who believed in the University's strengths, and these scholarships, funded by the Wanda Wyatt Foundation, honour her legacy. The scholarship is renewable with 75% in first year and 80% in second and third year while taking a full course load of 30 semester hours from September to April.

The Veterinary Macroscopic Anatomy Scholarship is awarded to a first-year student in Veterinary Medicine who has the highest composite average in VBS 101 (Macroscopic Anatomy I) and VBS 102 (Macroscopic Anatomy II). This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in the study of veterinary anatomy during the first year of veterinary medical education. The award is intended to support students pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the University of Prince Edward Island who demonstrate superior performance in the foundational anatomical sciences.

Awarded to a full-time student in the Doctor of Medicine Program at the Memorial regional campus located at the University of Prince Edward Island who has demonstrated interest in healthcare leadership and who plans to practice medicine in Prince Edward Island upon completion of their degree. Pending successful completion of the first year this scholarship will be renewable for each subsequent year that the student is enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program to a maximum of four years. The Soto-Wright family created this scholarship to honour the commitment Velma and George had to family, community, and education. The Wrights are direct descendants of Surveyor General Thomas Wright, who brought his family to PEI in 1769. George excelled in business, receiving the Queen Jubilee Gold and Diamond Medals, recognizing his contribution to public life.

The UPEI Women's Group Entrance Scholarship is awarded to a student entering their first year at the University of Prince Edward Island, based on financial need. The UPEI Women's group formed in 1971 as a social and support group for the then new University of Prince Edward Island. The group identified the need for greater public promotion of the University and a need to augment existing scholarship funds. Thus began a series of campus tours for various Island Women's organizations and the highly successful annual scholarship fund fairs. By the end of 1984, 'Dollars for Scholars' had raised close to $40,000 for UPEI Women's Group scholarships and bursaries. This entrance scholarship continues the legacy of supporting students with financial need as they begin their academic journey at UPEI.

The UPEI Faculty Association - Entrance Scholarships are awarded to two Island high school students entering the University of Prince Edward Island who are in good academic standing with a high average. The scholarship value will cover the first year of tuition based on the student's registration in a full course load (five courses per semester) in the September to April academic year. These scholarships are made possible by the UPEI Faculty Association, the bargaining agent for approximately 400 academic staff members at the university. The UPEI Faculty Association is a body separate from the University of Prince Edward Island and supports numerous scholarships and awards for UPEI students. These awards and scholarships are funded solely by the UPEI Faculty Association (the donor), separate from the awards and scholarships that are funded by the university itself.

The UPEI Alumni Association Scholarship is awarded to a full-time second-year student at the University of Prince Edward Island who is not otherwise on scholarship and achieves the highest average in 10 courses in a first-year program. This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement during the first year of studies and provides financial support to continue the student's educational journey. The scholarship is renewable if the recipient maintains an 80% average and continues full-time studies at UPEI, encouraging continued academic excellence throughout the student's undergraduate career.

Awarded to a student entering their first year at UPEI (not necessarily their first year in university studies), based on the applicant's personal statement detailing the impact UPEI (or SDU/PWC) has had on their family. AVC and graduate students are eligible if they are entering UPEI for the first time. For generations families have been attending UPEI and its predecessor institutions Prince of Wales College (PWC) and St. Dunstan's University (SDU). The UPEI Alumni Association understands the impact that education has created for these families. This award seeks to hear firsthand about the legacy that UPEI plays in the lives of current students.

The University Prize - First Year Science is an award presented to the returning student who achieves the highest academic standing in the Faculty of Science after completing their first year at the University of Prince Edward Island. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding academic excellence and achievement in science studies during the first year of undergraduate education. The award is valued at $1,000 and is administered through the university's Scholarships and Awards Committee, which selects the recipient based on academic performance.

The University Prize - First Year Nursing is an academic award presented to the returning student standing highest in the Faculty of Nursing after first year. This merit-based prize recognizes outstanding academic achievement during the first year of nursing studies at the University of Prince Edward Island. The award provides financial recognition of $1,000 to support the student's continued education in the nursing program.

The University Prize - First Year Business is an award presented to the returning student with the highest academic standing in the Faculty of Business after completing their first year of study at the University of Prince Edward Island. This prestigious recognition acknowledges excellence in business studies and academic achievement during the foundational year of business education. The award is determined by the UPEI Scholarships and Awards Committee based on academic performance. Recipients are automatically selected without requiring a separate application, making this a merit-based honor that recognizes the top-performing first-year business student at UPEI.

The University Prize - First Year Arts is awarded to the returning student standing highest in the Faculty of Arts after first year at the University of Prince Edward Island. This competitive award recognizes academic excellence among first-year Arts students. Recipients are selected by the Scholarships and Awards Committee based on their academic performance during their first year of study. The award provides $1,000.00 in recognition of outstanding achievement in the Faculty of Arts.

The Tsang Family Scholarship is established at the University of Prince Edward Island to support and encourage students in the Arts and Sciences. As a token of appreciation to the people of his adopted country, and to reciprocate the generosity of the people of PEI, this scholarship was established by Mr. Alfred Tsang, Class of 1960, SDU, to commemorate the arrival of the first four Asian students from Hong Kong in 1956 to attend St. Dunstan's University. The scholarship is awarded to the student who has successfully completed 30 semester-hours of credit in the first year of Arts or Science and has demonstrated academic excellence, exemplary moral character, and extra-curricular leadership who is not already receiving a major donor-funded award. This scholarship recognizes and rewards outstanding first-year students who demonstrate both academic merit and leadership qualities while pursuing studies in the liberal arts and sciences.
