Tilskudd til forundersøkelse av fredete bygninger og anlegg
This grant program supports owners of protected historic buildings and structures (fredete bygninger og anlegg) in Norway to conduct preliminary technical assessments. The funding covers professional evaluations of the building's technical condition and maintenance needs. The preliminary investigation report can be used to support applications for other funding programs and provides essential preparation for actual restoration work. The work must be performed by craftspeople with expertise in heritage conservation, architects with building preservation competence, or similar qualified professionals.
Tilskot til freda bygningar i privat eige – frå før 1537
This grant program provides economic support for privately owned protected buildings from before 1537 (medieval period). The goal is to ensure these buildings are maintained at a normal level while preserving their historical value. These structures are among the oldest wooden buildings in the world, and great emphasis is placed on preserving authentic materials. The program supports restoration, conservation of fixed inventory, securing and heavier maintenance work that brings the building to a normal maintenance level, as well as initiatives that contribute to documentation, knowledge development and research on medieval buildings. Grants are provided from the state budget.
Tilskudd til freda kulturminner i privat eie
This grant program provides funding for the preservation and maintenance of protected cultural heritage monuments and environments in private ownership in Norway. The grant covers additional costs, in whole or in part, resulting from requirements for heritage-appropriate execution in securing, restoration, maintenance, and care of protected monuments. As a main rule, grants from this program should not cover more than 50% of the total cost of a project. The program prioritizes private owners of protected cultural heritage sites, and applicants can also apply if they own a cultural monument that is under declaration or in an ongoing protection case, or is temporarily protected.
