Tilskudd til høyere yrkesfaglig utdanning (fagskoleutdanning)
Finnmark fylkeskommune offers grants to private and public vocational colleges with study locations in Finnmark for accredited higher vocational education programs. The county municipality is responsible under the law for higher vocational education to ensure that such education is offered in accordance with the need for competence locally, regionally and nationally. The grant aims to benefit students and be used for accredited higher vocational education programs. The scheme supports four main goals set by the Ministry of Education: high quality in higher vocational education, vocationally-oriented education that prepares candidates for immediate employment, good access to higher vocational education, and an efficient and solid vocational college sector. Grants are allocated per year per full-time equivalent student, adjusted for the actual length of the education program. The funding follows national allocation principles and rates established by the Ministry, and the county can require documentation of actual cost levels and reclaim overpaid grants if necessary.
