Way of Normal Black Sheep Award
The Way of Normal Black Sheep Award is presented to a full- or part-time student who will be enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Interior Design program in the upcoming fall semester at Mount Royal University. Preference is given to students with a disability, with particular preference for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Dyslexia. Recipients should have documentation on file with Access and Inclusion Services related to their disability. The award requires demonstrated artistic expression through the submission of a personal or academic art piece, which may include painting, sculpture, music, video, or other creative forms. Preference is given to new recipients who have not previously received this award.
Stantec Bursary
The Stantec Bursary is a financial aid opportunity for students at Lakeland College. Established in 2016, this bursary supports full-time students in specific programs including Interior Design, Environmental Sciences with Environmental Conservation Reclamation major, and University Transfer programs. The award recognizes academic merit and financial need among students in these qualifying programs. One of the bursaries awarded annually is specifically designated to recognize an Indigenous student from any of the qualifying programs. Students must be in the 2nd year of Interior Design or Environmental Sciences: Environmental Conservation Reclamation major, or in the 1st year of University Transfer to be eligible for this award. This bursary demonstrates Stantec's commitment to supporting education in environmental sciences, design, and academic advancement, while also promoting diversity and Indigenous student success at Lakeland College.
