This grant opportunity provides funding for the purchase, construction, renovation, and modernization of cultural arenas in Østfold county. The goal of this grant program is to create good cultural meeting places through contributions to the development of various cultural arenas that provide space for diverse cultural activities in local communities and in the region. The grants shall contribute to suitable premises, buildings and outdoor arenas that provide space for different cultural activities. Funding can be provided for cultural centers, multi-purpose premises or specialized premises for arts and culture, such as libraries, buildings for museums or other cultural heritage initiatives, performing arts venues, concert halls or exhibition spaces for visual arts. Grants can also be given for the establishment of non-denominational ceremony rooms.

This grant program provides funding for purchasing premises for cultural purposes and constructing new cultural arenas. Funding is also available for renovation/extensions, modernization/rehabilitation, or permanently installed equipment in existing premises. The goal of the cultural arenas grant scheme is to create good cultural meeting places through contributions to the development of various cultural arenas that provide space for diverse cultural activities in the local community and region. Cultural arenas include multi-purpose houses, specialized cultural buildings, cultural halls, practice rooms in schools, arenas for professional culture and art for children and young people, and local venues such as community houses containing cultural activities. The program requires that cultural arenas must be used for cultural purposes for at least 20 years and must be open to all lawful cultural activities, with no one excluded for religious, social or political reasons.
