Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship

Chevening (UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office)

The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership. It is designed for mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector who want to grow as leaders and make a lasting impact. Hosted by Clore Leadership, a renowned UK-based organisation dedicated to developing leadership in the cultural sector, the fellowship takes place at various locations across the UK. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity for five exceptional candidates to develop the leadership skills necessary to tackle critical issues including leadership in uncertain times, equity, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability and the role of culture. Fellows will attend two intensive residential courses, typically held at Ashorne Hill near Leamington Spa, as well as participate in skills workshops, mentoring sessions, and a tailored secondment with a UK cultural institution. Fellows gain a personalised leadership development plan, insight into UK cultural leadership practices, and hands-on experience through a UK-based secondment. The programme runs for six to nine months, starting in September with a two-week intensive in the UK, followed by return to home countries, then a longer stay in the UK from January to May. The fellowship includes comprehensive funding covering accommodation while in the UK, living expenses, up to two return economy flights, course and conference fees, training and development costs, and travel within the UK.
