Ambrose Lee Graduation Prize (Science)
Awarded to the student standing highest in the fourth year of the Science program. These awards were created by Mr. Ambrose Kwok-Yau Lee (B.Sc. 1962, SDU) with a series of generous gifts to the University of Prince Edward Island. Mr. Lee came to Prince Edward Island in 1958 to further his education. He discovered many friendships and developed lasting memories. After pursuing further education in Canada, Mr. Lee returned to Hong Kong where he still resides. Through the years, he has maintained contact with UPEI and his classmates.

This award is awarded to a full-time student proceeding to fourth year who stands highest in third-year Science at the University of Prince Edward Island. The scholarship was created by Mr. Ambrose Kwok-Yau Lee (B.Sc. 1962, SDU) with a series of generous gifts to UPEI. Mr. Lee came to Prince Edward Island in 1958 to further his education, where he discovered many friendships and developed lasting memories. After pursuing further education in Canada, Mr. Lee returned to Hong Kong where he still resides. Through the years, he has maintained contact with UPEI and his classmates, establishing this scholarship to support high-achieving science students.

Canada Graduate Research Scholarships - Doctoral Program
The Canada Graduate Research Scholarships - Doctoral (CGRS-D) program is a federal program of scholarships awarded through national competitions by the granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students pursuing research-based doctoral degrees across Canada. The scholarship provides financial support for up to 36 months at Canadian institutions only, with an annual value of $40,000 per year. Students can apply directly to the appropriate agency if not currently registered at a Canadian institution with a quota, or through their Canadian institution if currently registered. Results are announced on April 30th each year.
J.S. Redpath Limited Award in Environmental Science
The J.S. Redpath Limited Award in Environmental Science is designed to attract students to the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or the Bachelor of Science - Biology degree program, with preference given to the former. This entrance award recognizes academic excellence and community involvement among Ontario students pursuing environmental science studies. Recipients must possess a minimum 75% in their best six 4U, 4M final grades, and exemplify interest and involvement in extra-curricular activities. The award also considers financial need and requires recipients to be residents of Ontario as defined by the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). With an award value of $2,525, this funding opportunity supports incoming students committed to environmental science and demonstrates both academic merit and active community engagement.
