Støtten gis i euro med maksimalt €60 000, og beregnes ut ifra varighet, antall deltakere og type aktiviteter. Midlene kan dekke prosjektledelse, møter og aktiviteter, reisekostnader (med ekstra støtte til miljøvennlige transportmidler), konferanser og arrangementer, voksenstøtte/veileder, tilrettelegging for inkludering, samt visum og vaksiner. For å ha større sjanse til å få innvilget søknaden bør prosjektet enten gi unge mulighet til å engasjere seg i sivilsamfunnet og demokratisk liv, eller utvikle deltakende strukturer som gir unge mulighet til å påvirke beslutninger som berører dem. Søkere kan være formelle foreninger, organisasjoner eller uformelle grupper og vennegjenger. Dette er den eneste støtteordningen i Erasmus+ ungdom der man ikke trenger en internasjonal partner. Programmet administreres av Erasmus+ ungdom, som er en del av Barne-, ungdoms- og familiedirektoratet (Bufdir) i Norge, finansiert av EU. Søknader sendes gjennom EUs søknadsportal, og man får svar omtrent to måneder etter søknadsfrist.
