Arlie Parks Scholarship - In Memory of Dr. Kenneth MacIntyre
The Arlie Parks Scholarship - In Memory of Dr. Kenneth MacIntyre is awarded to the student who, in his or her graduating year from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), has been accepted to study Medicine at a university, medical school, or college. This scholarship honors the memory of Dr. Kenneth MacIntyre and supports graduating students pursuing careers in medicine. The award recognizes academic achievement and admission to medical studies, providing financial support for the transition to medical education.
Alicia Bremner Award for Future Physicians
The Alicia Bremner Award for Future Physicians is awarded to a first-year full-time student in the Doctor of Medicine Program at the Memorial regional campus located at the University of Prince Edward Island. Preference will be given to a student who actively engages in healthcare related volunteer work. This award was established by Alicia Bremner, a proud UPEI alumna who received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2009 and a Public Administration Certificate in 2007. She also completed a certificate in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy in 2010 and her Master in Arts Leadership from the University of Guelph in 2018. As a past member of the UPEI Board of Governors and past President of the UPEI Alumni Association, Alicia has been an incredible ambassador and supporter of her alma mater. As an expression of her passion and belief in the new Doctor of Medicine Program, she established this award to support future physicians.
