SSCPNM Scholarships

Scandinavian Society of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine

The Scandinavian Society of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine (SSCPNM) offers scholarships twice yearly to support members of national Nordic societies in Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine. The scholarships are designed to support younger scientists attending scientific meetings where they will actively participate, as well as brief visits to acknowledged laboratories to acquire specific talents. Applications are accepted with deadlines of May 31 and December 1 each year. Priority is given to younger scientists presenting at conferences and those seeking to develop specific skills through laboratory visits. Funds are transferred only to institutional accounts.

Lundbeck Foundation and Novo Nordisk Foundation Body-Brain Interdisciplinary Projects

Novo Nordisk Foundation and Lundbeck Foundation

The Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Lundbeck Foundation have a shared interest in supporting research that deepens our understanding of the interactions between the brain and periphery in health and disease. This initiative aims to enhance the mechanistic understanding of body-brain interactions in health and disease, particularly focusing on cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs) and nervous system disorders (NSDs). The program fosters European collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects with a significant focus on scientific excellence. Strong projects will be of a collaborative nature, bridging different research disciplines such as neuroscience, metabolism, endocrinology, physiology, neurology, psychiatry, medicine, epidemiology, immunology, and nutrition, with a unifying aim of improving mechanistic understanding of body-brain interactions in health and/or disease while addressing specific knowledge gaps. By addressing critical knowledge gaps, this programme is expected to lead to novel discoveries ultimately improving diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and understanding of these interconnected health issues.

Lundbeck Foundation and Novo Nordisk Foundation Body-Brain Interdisciplinary Projects

Lundbeck Foundation and Novo Nordisk Foundation

The Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Lundbeck Foundation have launched the Body-Brain Interdisciplinary Projects initiative to enhance mechanistic understanding of body-brain interactions in health and disease. This program supports collaborative European research projects that investigate the complex interactions between cardiometabolic diseases and nervous system disorders. The initiative aims to address critical knowledge gaps through interdisciplinary collaboration spanning neuroscientific and cardiometabolic research fields. Strong proposals will bridge different research disciplines including neuroscience, metabolism, endocrinology, physiology, neurology, psychiatry, medicine, epidemiology, immunology, and nutrition, with a unifying aim of improving mechanistic understanding of body-brain interactions. The program expects to award 5-6 grants of DKK 15-20 million each for five-year projects. Applications must involve 2-3 independent researchers with at least one anchored at a Danish institution and at least one at a non-Danish European institution.
