SMIL (Spesielle miljøtiltak i jordbruket) is a grant program for special environmental measures in agriculture. The program supports the implementation of environmental initiatives that go beyond what is expected from normal agricultural operations. The purpose of the grant is to reduce pollution contributions from agriculture and promote natural and cultural heritage values in agricultural cultural landscapes. The program is administered by Lillestrøm Kommune and operates under a strategy framework for 2026-2030.
Regionalt miljøtilskudd (RMP)
Regionalt miljøprogram (RMP) is a county-based grant program providing subsidies for implementing environmental measures in agriculture. The program aims to target and stimulate increased environmental efforts in agriculture. All agricultural enterprises can apply for funding to implement environmental measures on their own farms or leased land. The environmental measures are divided into main categories including pollution measures, cultural landscape measures, biological diversity, cultural heritage, air emissions, and reduced use of pesticides. Applications are submitted electronically through Altinn, with a direct connection to a map solution where applicants can enter all their measures. The program is administered by Lillestrøm municipality in cooperation with the agricultural department of the County Governor (Statsforvalteren) in Oslo, Akershus, Buskerud and Østfold. A complete overview of RMP, including application forms, regulations, and rates can be found at the County Governor's office.
Reviving Our Seas: Community-Led Conservation for Sustainable Marine Fish Populations
The world’s oceans are facing unprecedented threats from overfishing, pollution, and climate change, putting marine fish populations at risk. This grant supports innovative, community-driven projects that aim to protect and restore fish habitats, promote sustainable fishing practices, and raise public awareness about marine conservation. We seek proposals that combine scientific research, local engagement, and scalable solutions to ensure healthy fish populations for future generations. Priority will be given to initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact, collaboration with local stakeholders, and a commitment to long-term ecological balance.
