This grant program supports development and collaboration projects in child welfare services in Norway. The program funds time-limited initiatives and measures with high probability of achieving goals, supporting the development of new approaches and improved dialogue between different services and actors in the child welfare field. Projects can receive funding for up to three years. Priority is given to projects focused on user participation (especially children with child welfare experience), dialogue between child welfare services and minority populations (including indigenous and national minorities), and facilitating involvement of vulnerable children's relatives and networks. The goal is to develop the child welfare field through prevention of problem development and ensuring that vulnerable children and youth receive better help for life management and development in safe environments.

TryggEst is a grant program supporting competence-building initiatives to prevent violence against vulnerable adults in Norwegian municipalities. The program contributes to achieving the goals of the Norwegian government's action plans against violence and abuse. The target group includes children and adults who are or have been exposed to violence or abuse, or who commit or are at risk of committing violence in close relationships. The program supports voluntary organizations, municipalities, crisis centers, and other registered entities working in this field. Funding can be provided for up to 3 years for both operational support and time-limited projects. Priority areas include services for particularly vulnerable groups exposed to violence, including those with substance abuse issues, serious mental illness, or disabilities, as well as development of crisis center services for the Sami population.

This grant program from the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir) supports municipalities in implementing parent-support measures. The program aims to strengthen parents in their parental role and contribute to making them good caregivers for their children, thereby preventing children from being exposed to violence, abuse, or neglect. Municipalities can apply for up to three years of support for various activities including: knowledge-based parental guidance programs, relationship courses for first-time parents called 'Godt samliv', low-threshold parental support initiatives such as meeting places and relief measures, and certification/training for personnel. The target group is parents with children aged 0-18 years. For 2026, the program has allocated 55.28 million Norwegian kroner, with 21.63 million available for new applicants. Applications for 2026 can be two-year (2026-2027), though approval for 2027 is not guaranteed as the program will merge into a new prevention program from 2027 onwards.

The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir) offers grants to voluntary organizations and other actors working on family and gender equality policy initiatives in Norway. The grant program aims to ensure operations, contribute to diversity, and create higher activity among voluntary organizations working with family and gender equality policy. The program supports both operational funding (driftstilskudd) for organizations with at least 50 paying members and project funding (prosjekttilskudd) for time-limited initiatives up to three years. This is a pilot grant program in Norway for establishing housing and support services for individuals over 18 who have experienced involuntary stays abroad. The program provides funding to municipalities to cover necessary costs for establishing and operating housing and support services. The pilot runs from 2024 through 2027 and aims to serve persons returning from involuntary stays abroad who have significant support needs but are not under threat, or who have additional challenges that make them unsuitable for existing services. The program will establish up to four places total, with two places to be established in 2026. Services include safe housing during a transition period and support services to help individuals reintegrate and live as normal a life as possible. This is an extension of existing services for persons over 18 affected by forced marriage, honor-related violence, and negative social control.

This grant supports special projects and activities for children and youth (ages 0-24) at risk of social exclusion that do not fit into other predefined activity categories within the inclusion program. The funding is intended for innovative or unique leisure-time activities that contribute to inclusion goals but are of a different character than standard activity types. Activities must take place during free time (afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays) and be organized as group offerings. The program emphasizes high-quality applications due to its open-ended nature and fewer predefined criteria. Eligible applicants include public institutions, voluntary organizations, and private actors, with the requirement that participating municipalities must be enrolled in the broader inclusion scheme. The funding aims to prevent children and young people from experiencing social exclusion due to risk factors such as growing up in low-income families, lacking social networks, limited school/work connections, or minimal participation in leisure activities.

This grant supports the establishment, development, and operation of youth clubs, community centers, or similar open meeting places for young people aged 10-24 years. The funding is designed to create social arenas where children and youth, regardless of background, can meet regularly and participate on equal terms. An open meeting place should be a low-threshold offering of an open character, where participants do not need to register in advance and can 'drop by'. The venue may include activity offerings such as cooking, homework help, various group activities, excursions, workshops, and cultural events. There must be adults present who ensure safe and good frameworks for the meeting place and the activities offered there. The program targets children and youth at risk of social exclusion, including those growing up in low-income families, lacking social networks, lacking connection to school or work, or lacking participation in leisure activities.

This grant program provides funding for culture and activity card schemes that give free or discounted access to individual activities and experiences for children and youth. The card can be designed either physically or digitally, as a card, app, website or something else suitable for the target group. The program aims to give children and youth in families with low income the opportunity to participate in activities they otherwise would not be able to afford. Eligible activities include swimming pools, cinemas, museums, theaters, trampoline parks, concerts, sports events, amusement parks, climbing parks, courses, go-karting, bowling and similar experiences. The scheme is part of a broader effort to include children and youth who are at risk of social exclusion.

This grant supports drainage improvements to agricultural land in Lillestrøm municipality. The program aims to increase the quality of previously ditched agricultural land, boost food production, and reduce the risk of erosion and surface runoff of nutrients to watercourses. Good drainage is considered crucial for increasing food production in the coming years and is an important step in adapting agriculture to a changing climate with increased precipitation. The subsidy covers systematic ditching, profiling, excavation, and other drainage work on previously ditched or leveled agricultural land.
