To stimulate increased activity, a grant scheme has been established for exhibition displays in Nordland. The scheme is also intended to strengthen the county's work with inclusion, diversity, and ensure broad freedom of expression. The grant is meant as a supplement to grant schemes from municipalities, Norwegian Art Societies, and the Norwegian Arts Council.

Nordland fylkeskommune (Nordland County Council) annually awards travel grants to professional visual artists and artisans who live and work in Nordland, Norway.
