Regionalt kulturfond i Buskerud
The Regional Culture Fund in Buskerud is a grant program designed to contribute to strong local communities and an open, inclusive, and diverse cultural life throughout the county. The grant funds aim to stimulate increased activity and participation in cultural life, strengthen collaboration between professional and voluntary cultural sectors, reinforce local and regional cultural volunteerism, and contribute to increased quality of arts and culture offerings at local and regional levels. The program operates on three funding levels: Level 1 (NOK 50,000-100,000) for smaller collaborative initiatives and arts/culture activities with short planning horizons; Level 2 (NOK 100,000-250,000) for developing existing collaborations or establishing new ones between voluntary and professional cultural sectors, including collaboration processes, competency development, and open cultural activities; Level 3 (NOK 250,000-500,000) for regional initiatives with lasting effects in the interaction between professional and voluntary cultural life, aimed at strengthening regional structures and collaboration models through systematic work involving multiple municipalities. Both professional cultural actors and cultural volunteers can apply. While municipalities cannot apply on their own behalf, they can be collaboration partners or facilitators for projects led by professional or voluntary cultural actors. Single actors can apply, but the program prioritizes projects where professional and voluntary cultural sectors collaborate. Applications are reviewed collectively after the deadline, with decisions made by the Main Committee for Culture, Sports, and Public Health in their first meeting each year.
