This grant program provides funding for conflict prevention measures between reindeer husbandry and other affected parties, including agriculture, landowners, and municipalities. The program supports initiatives that reduce conflicts through physical infrastructure and other conflict-reducing measures. Eligible activities include building fences to protect cultivated land, cultural pastures, plantations, and residential areas from reindeer grazing. Under special circumstances, funding may be provided for other conflict-reducing measures, including helicopter use if desired by reindeer herders. The affected parties must mutually agree on the proposed measures, and costs are typically shared equally between the parties. The grant can cover up to 90 percent of approved cost estimates for projects exceeding 5,000 Norwegian kroner. Projects must comply with applicable laws and regulations, and for fence projects, maintenance obligations apply to ensure protected areas continue to be used for agricultural purposes.

This grant program provides funding to remove old, unused fences and fence materials that are obstructing nature, according to the Reindeer Husbandry Development Fund regulations. The purpose of the program is to remove old fence materials that hinder people and animals in nature. The fence materials must come from a fence located within the applicant's grazing area and is no longer used by reindeer herding. Applicants must commit to delivering netting, steel wire, and impregnated fence posts that are removed to the nearest approved disposal facility or use the materials for other measures. The program supports the costs of removing fences, posts, and netting from fences that are no longer in use.

This grant supports field kindergarten (feltbarnehage) services for reindeer herding communities in Norway. The program provides funding for organized, time-limited childcare for children below school age during periods of major reindeer herding activities. The grant covers the cost of childcare supervision, enabling participation of parents in essential reindeer herding work while ensuring children receive appropriate care and cultural education. Applications must be submitted within one month after the reindeer herding activity is completed. The funding is administered by Landbruksdirektoratet (Norwegian Agriculture Agency) with decision-making authority delegated from the Board of the Reindeer Husbandry Development Fund. Eligible applicants include reindeer grazing districts (reinbeitedistrikt), summer siida, reindeer groups (reinlag), or winter siida share leaders.

This grant program provides financial support to cover the cost of hiring replacement workers in reindeer husbandry during pregnancy, childbirth, adoption, and death. The subsidy applies to situations where the leader of a siida share or their spouse/cohabitant needs temporary replacement assistance.
