Tilskudd til kvinnerettede tiltak

Landbruksdirektoratet

This grant program supports women-focused initiatives in reindeer husbandry in Norway. It provides funding for three main categories: value creation activities that promote women's participation in reindeer husbandry and develop innovative products and services; competence-building through courses and training where participants can acquire new knowledge, maintain or upgrade their own competence, or share knowledge with others; and the establishment, maintenance, and operation of women's networks that contribute to increased gender equality and women's status in reindeer husbandry. The program aims to strengthen women's position in the reindeer industry, preserve Sami traditions, and facilitate knowledge exchange through gatherings and courses. Applications are accepted twice per year with deadlines on April 1 and October 1. The fund is administered by the Norwegian Agriculture Agency (Landbruksdirektoratet) and funded through the Reindeer Husbandry Development Fund.

Tilskudd til juridisk bistand

Landbruksdirektoratet

This grant provides financial support for legal assistance to reindeer herding districts and siida (traditional reindeer herding groups) in Norway. The funding covers legal costs related to securing grazing rights or grazing areas, both with and without court proceedings. This includes cases involving infrastructure development in reindeer grazing areas such as wind turbines, cabins, or roads. For districts previously covered by the Norwegian-Swedish reindeer grazing convention, support is also available for legal processes concerning traditional grazing areas in Sweden and Norway. The grant does not cover disputes between reindeer herders or between herders and reindeer management authorities. Up to 50% of approved funding is disbursed automatically upon approval, with the remainder paid after submission of expense documentation. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, subject to available funding in the Reindeer Industry Development Fund.
