Reseanslag (Travel Grant)

Cancerfonden's travel grant supports research-related participation in congresses and courses or short-term research visits at foreign institutions. The grant is intended for individuals working within research projects supported by the Swedish Cancer Society. The program covers travel costs, hotel expenses, congress fees, and other necessary specified costs for the journey. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and are evaluated continuously, but must be submitted at least six weeks before departure. This funding opportunity supports active participation in scientific congresses for doctoral students who have completed their mid-term review or licentiate examination, as well as postdoctoral researchers and other independent researchers working within Cancerfonden-funded projects. For doctoral students participating in international high-quality courses, only travel costs are covered. The grant can also support short-term research visits at foreign institutions when accompanied by a research program.

Thomas Ihre stipendium

The Thomas Ihre stipendium is a scholarship offered to members of the Swedish Surgical Society (SKF) who wish to develop further within gastrointestinal surgery. The scholarship of 50,000 Swedish kronor can be used for auscultation or research visits at other clinics, or for clinical projects to stimulate continuing education and research within gastrointestinal surgery. The funding cannot be used for congress travel. Applications must be in Swedish and include a CV, project description (maximum one A4 page), and any invitation from the clinic to be visited.

SLS resebidrag

SLS resebidrag (SLS Travel Grant) is a travel funding opportunity offered by the Swedish Society of Medicine (Svenska Läkaresällskapet) to support physicians in their professional development. The grant supports two types of travel: attendance at international scientific conferences abroad and research visits at foreign institutions. The grant is available to both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral physicians who are active members of the Swedish Society of Medicine. The program aims to facilitate international collaboration and knowledge exchange within the medical community by providing financial support for travel expenses. Applicants must demonstrate clinical relevance or foundation in their work. The grant amounts vary based on destination, ranging from 6,000 SEK for Nordic travel to 48,000 SEK for extended research visits. Only one travel grant per calendar year is awarded per recipient.

Paul Frenckners fond resebidrag

Paul Frenckners fond provides travel grants for research stays abroad within the field of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) diseases. The grants support auscultation or research visits at clinics outside Sweden, but not congress travel. The fund supports research related to ENT diseases through both project grants and travel grants for research stays. Applicants must hold a medical degree and be members of the Swedish Society of Medicine (SLS) or a member organization. Travel can start earliest September 1st of the application year. A brief travel report and financial accounting must be submitted no later than one month after the completed trip. The fund requires that previously granted travel grants from Paul Frenckner's fund must be used and reported before a new application can be submitted. Only one travel grant application can be made at each application opportunity. The grant is paid out as a scholarship to a personal account.

Bengt Ihres fond resebidrag

Bengt Ihres fond resebidrag provides travel grants for research within gastroenterology and gastroenterological surgery. The fund's returns are used to promote scientific medical research in medical gastroenterology and gastroenterologically oriented surgery in the form of project grants and travel grants. Travel grants can be applied for auscultation or research visits to other clinics (not congress travel). Applicants must hold a medical degree and be members of the Swedish Society of Medicine (SLS) or a member association. The grant is paid out to a personal account as a stipend. The travel can begin at the earliest on September 1st of the application year. Any unused funds must be repaid. A personal invitation from the host institution must be attached. A brief travel report and financial accounting must be submitted no later than one month after completion of the trip. Only one travel grant application can be made at each application period.
