Telemark fylkeskommune provides operational grants to vocational colleges (fagskoler) in the county to offer competencies needed by the labor market locally, regionally, and nationally. Both private and public vocational colleges can apply for funding to support accredited higher vocational education programs. The grant aims to stimulate high quality and completion in higher vocational education while helping meet societal competency needs. The funding is distributed by the county based on allocations from the Directorate for Higher Education and Competence (HK-Dir). Eligible programs must be NOKUT-accredited or self-accredited within areas where schools have subject-area accreditation, with study locations or headquarters in Telemark.

The BrightFuture Climate Innovation Seed Grant 2026 supports early-stage startups, nonprofits, and research-driven initiatives developing scalable solutions that address climate resilience, carbon reduction, and sustainable resource management across Europe and the UK. We are looking for innovative, technology-driven or community-based solutions that demonstrate measurable environmental impact and clear scalability potential.
