Beredskapslagring for såkorn
This is a subsidy program for seed companies (såkornforretninger) in Norway that maintain emergency storage of certified seed grain between seasons. The program provides financial support for seed grain inventory held beyond normal levels as a preparedness measure. Seed companies that have stored seed grain between seasons can apply for subsidies. The subsidy is calculated based on the inventory of certified seed grain as of June 30th that exceeds 5% of the company's average sales of spring grain over the last three grain seasons including the application year. Support is not paid for inventory exceeding 25% of this calculation basis. An annual rate per kilogram and budget framework for the subsidy is set in the Agricultural Agreement each year. If the total quantity applied for indicates that the budget framework will be exceeded, an equal percentage cut is made for all applicants.
