The John & Hazal Opler Cummings Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 by John Cummings, BA 1930, to support students majoring in the School of Social Work at the University at Buffalo. This scholarship recognizes students who achieve high academic merit and demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a successful career in rehabilitative social science and service to humanity. Preference is given to students who complete the FAFSA, demonstrate financial need, and are disadvantaged in some manner. The award amount varies based on available funds and applicant qualifications.
