Tilskuddsordning for innsamling og registrering av stedsnavn / Tilskottsordning for innsamling og registrering av stadnamn
This grant program aims to preserve place names that are in danger of falling out of use due to changes in settlement patterns and practices in primary industries. The names collected will be entered into a national name database that is under development. The program is administered by the Norwegian Language Council (Språkrådet) and provides project funding to local actors including county and municipal authorities, private entities, and voluntary organizations. The grant can be used to cover expenses related to collection and registration activities such as travel reimbursement, data equipment costs, meeting room rental, and project management. The program does not support development of other databases or websites, nor does it fund printing of books, pamphlets or signs. Recipients must submit a report and financial statement within three months after project completion.
