Lillestrøm kommune er stor i utstrekning, og for å nå målet om at alle barn og unge skal ha et fritidstilbud i nærhet av der de bor og bidra til å styrke de unges psykiske helse, er det essensielt med gode samarbeid mellom kommunen og frivilligheten. Tiltaket skal skape gode holdninger og forebygge utenforskap ved å fremme respekt, inkludering og trygghet gjennom aktiviteter og sosialt fellesskap. Programmet prioriterer tiltak i områdene Sørumsand og Lillestrøm by, samt aktiviteter i helgen og for juniorgruppa (10-13 år). Det gis støtte til både regelmessige tiltak og enkeltarrangementer som for eksempel åpen hall. Alle som mottar tilskudd må innhente politiattest for de som skal bidra i tilbudet, delta på fagmøter i regi av seksjon for møteplasser for barn og unge, og etablere dialog og samarbeid med den lokale kommunale fritidsklubben. Det skal til sammen deles ut omtrent 1 million kroner.
