Lillestrøm kommune has a small business development fund (næringsfond) established from hydroelectric power development compensation. Funding typically does not exceed 50% of total capital needs, and recipients must submit a report upon project completion.

The Aktivitetspotten is a project and activity grant program offered by Asker Kommune to support projects and activities within culture, community, sports, outdoor recreation, social and humanitarian work. The grant aims to support the realization of the municipality's thematic plans for citizenship, promote participation in activities and events, stimulate organizations to create projects and activities, and provide residents with a rich offering of experiences. The program specifically supports work aligned with the municipality's plans for physical activity, sports and outdoor recreation, culture, and citizenship, as well as the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Funding is available for projects, activities, events, and course participation that take place in Asker or benefit Asker-based organizations. Applicants can include individuals, organizations, associations, and other actors working within the eligible fields, including entities outside the municipality if the activity benefits Asker residents.
