Masters Achievement Scholarships

Durham University Business School

The Masters Achievement Scholarships at Durham University Business School celebrate and reward exceptional candidates applying to their Masters programmes. These scholarships provide tuition fee discounts for outstanding students demonstrating academic excellence, potential to contribute to the programme, and the ability to become exemplary alumni ambassadors. All Business School Masters programme offer holders are automatically considered for applicable scholarships, with no separate application required. The scholarships are available for full-time students commencing studies in October 2026, with up to 100 awards available. Overseas and EU students from developing countries may receive up to £12,500 in tuition fee discounts, while students from other countries can receive up to £10,000. Home and Islands students are eligible for up to £7,500 tuition fee discounts. To be eligible, applicants must be completely self-funding and demonstrate an outstanding academic record from a recognised institution. Recipients must also show potential to enrich the academic and cultural profile of the Masters class. Scholarship recipients agree to participate in the School's marketing and outreach activities and are required to accept their programme offer and pay the required deposit within four weeks of accepting the award. The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and potential contribution to the university community, with successful candidates notified via email within 10 working days of receiving an offer.

ANID Scholarships

Durham University

The ANID (National Agency for Research and Development) Scholarships are funded in partnership between Durham University and the Chilean government's student funding organisation. Durham University provides a 25% tuition fee discount for the duration of the programme to Chilean students who receive ANID funding. This partnership scheme supports Chilean students pursuing advanced degrees at Durham University across a wide range of academic disciplines. The scholarship is available for both Master's and PhD programmes, with Master's scholarships covering one year and PhD scholarships covering up to three years of study. All candidates must meet ANID eligibility criteria and are selected by ANID, with results typically announced in July for Doctorate scholarships and August for Master's scholarships. The scholarship excludes MBA programmes but is available for all other full-time programmes at Durham University.

Durham Inspiring Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

Durham University

The Inspiring Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship is an invitation to International Students to achieve excellence at Durham University. The selection will be based on an individual's achievements and potential for positive impact upon completion of a postgraduate degree at Durham University. The scholarships are available to all new international students to Durham who meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarship is offered in two award types: Inspiring Excellence £5K offering £5,000 in tuition fee discount and Inspiring Excellence £10K offering £10,000 in tuition fee discount. The scholarship applies to one-year, full-time (in-person) taught MSc, MA, LLM or MDS qualifications commencing in September 2026, with MBA, MSW programmes and MA in Theology and Ministry excluded. Applicants must be classed as overseas students for fee-paying purposes, be self-funded and not already in receipt of any other scholarship, funding or sponsorship, and must meet or exceed the entry requirements for their programme.
