Tilskudd til fartøyvern
This is a grant program for the preservation and conservation of protected and listed vessels in Norway. The Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Riksantikvaren) distributes state funding for protected and listed vessels (vernede og fredede fartøy). Applications are processed by the county municipalities (fylkeskommunene), with Finnmark County Municipality being one of the administrative entities handling applications in its region. The program supports the maintenance and preservation of historically significant vessels that are officially protected under Norwegian cultural heritage regulations.
Rekrutteringsfond og kvotefond for fiskere i Finnmark
The Recruitment Fund and Quota Fund for Fishermen in Finnmark provides loans to support the recruitment of young fishermen and the renewal and expansion of fishing activities in Finnmark. The recruitment fund aims to attract new entrants to the fishing profession, while the quota fund stimulates the purchase of quota rights outside the county's borders to stabilize income and recruitment to the fishing profession. The recruitment fund currently has a balance of 35 million kroner, and the quota fund receives an annual allocation of 10 million kroner until 2028. Loans are available for first-time investments in fishing vessels in both open and closed groups, as well as for vessel replacement and quota investments for established fishermen. Applicants must be residents and taxpayers in Finnmark, registered in the Fishermen's Register on page B, and own a minimum of 67 percent of the vessel/company. In principle, applicants should deliver their entire catch in Finnmark, with exceptions possible for certain species or when delivery options are not available in the county.
