Zoetis Award in Pharmacology

The Wendell & 'Bailey' MacLean Memorial Award is a veterinary medicine award offered through the University of Prince Edward Island's Atlantic Veterinary College. This award recognizes a student entering their 4th year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program who demonstrates exceptional qualities in specialized areas of veterinary care. The award specifically honors students who have an expressed interest and proficiency in veterinary cardiology and/or acupuncture, combined with a demonstrated compassion and caring for animals. This memorial award provides $500.00 to support the recipient's final year of veterinary studies.
Wallace G. (Wally) Wood Memorial Award
The Wallace G. (Wally) Wood Memorial Award is a scholarship provided by the University of Prince Edward Island to support veterinary medicine students. This award will be given to a fourth year student in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program who has demonstrated aptitude and leadership in the Equine reproduction program. The recipient will be recommended by the AVC Awards Committee representative from the Health Management Department in consultation with related faculty, and the final award recipient will be approved by the AVC Awards Committee. This award recognizes excellence in a specialized area of veterinary medicine and supports students pursuing careers in equine veterinary practice.
Veterinary Microscopic Anatomy Scholarship
The Veterinary Microscopic Anatomy Scholarship is awarded to a first-year student in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Prince Edward Island. This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in microscopic anatomy studies. The recipient is determined by having the highest composite average in two core courses: VBS 111 (Microscopic Anatomy I) and VBS 112 (Microscopic Anatomy II). This award supports students pursuing veterinary medicine education and acknowledges achievement in foundational anatomical sciences.
Veterinary Macroscopic Anatomy Scholarship
The Veterinary Macroscopic Anatomy Scholarship is awarded to a first-year student in Veterinary Medicine who has the highest composite average in VBS 101 (Macroscopic Anatomy I) and VBS 102 (Macroscopic Anatomy II). This scholarship recognizes academic excellence in the study of veterinary anatomy during the first year of veterinary medical education. The award is intended to support students pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the University of Prince Edward Island who demonstrate superior performance in the foundational anatomical sciences.
