Tilskudd til forsendelse av sæd og inseminering av storfe og svin

Landbruksdirektoratet

This grant program provides subsidies to equalize the costs of semen distribution and insemination services for cattle and swine producers across Norway. The subsidy helps ensure that cattle and swine producers' share of costs for insemination and semen delivery can be maintained at the same level throughout the country. Applicants must be distributors of semen from approved breeding organizations who provide nationwide distribution and insemination services. The subsidy is intended to equalize producers' costs so that they pay the same amount regardless of location, compensating for higher distribution costs in remote areas. The grant covers costs associated with semen transport and insemination services performed by veterinarians, insemination technicians, or approved owner-inseminators.

Stimuleringstilskudd til veterinærdekning

Landbruksdirektoratet

This grant program provides funding to municipalities and veterinary service providers to ensure satisfactory access to veterinary services in economically weak districts and on Svalbard. The program is administered by the Norwegian Directorate of Agriculture and aims to support municipalities in fulfilling their obligation to provide adequate veterinary services, including services for production animals, pets, and horses during regular working hours. The grant can be used for establishment support, operational support, creating municipal veterinary positions, and other measures that contribute to adequate access to veterinary personnel services. For Svalbard, the grant can support veterinary services year-round, although it is not intended to establish an on-call service. The program prioritizes municipalities with challenges in securing stable access to veterinary services and those actively working to establish good local solutions. Applications are evaluated based on criteria including poor economic foundation for veterinarians, low animal numbers and challenging infrastructure, difficulty recruiting and retaining veterinarians, and whether the proposed stimulation measure can appropriately contribute to ensuring satisfactory access to veterinary services.

Kompensasjon for tiltak mot radioaktivt reinkjøtt

Landbruksdirektoratet

This compensation scheme provides support for expenses, additional work, and economic losses incurred by reindeer herders as a result of measures against radioactivity in reindeer meat. The program covers various activities including early slaughter, feeding in facilities, and feeding on natural pastures. Compensation is available to reindeer herding districts, siidas, and reindeer herding groups located south of Saltfjellet in Norway. The scheme requires that measured radioactivity levels from a representative sample of reindeer exceed the threshold of 3000 Bq/kg of reindeer meat, and measures must be pre-approved by the county governor. Compensation is provided according to established rates and covers additional costs for facilities, veterinary services, transport of reindeer to feeding enclosures, snow plowing of roads to feeding areas, and in special cases, disposal of reindeer meat. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
