The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir) offers grants to voluntary organizations and other actors working on family and gender equality policy initiatives in Norway. The grant program aims to ensure operations, contribute to diversity, and create higher activity among voluntary organizations working with family and gender equality policy. The program supports both operational funding (driftstilskudd) for organizations with at least 50 paying members and project funding (prosjekttilskudd) for time-limited initiatives up to three years. Priority is given to initiatives that promote gender equality for women and men, engage boys and men in equality work, and address equality challenges facing children and young people in various settings such as kindergartens, schools, and leisure activities.

The program aims to increase participation in leisure activities for children and youth aged 0-24 who face risks of social exclusion due to factors such as low family income, limited social networks, lack of connection to school or work, or limited participation in leisure activities.

This grant program supports integration work by voluntary organizations in Lillestrøm municipality. The funding is administered by Lillestrøm kommune on behalf of the Norwegian Directorate of Integration and Diversity (IMDi). The main goal is to increase labor market participation and social participation among immigrants and their children. The program funds local activities and projects that promote integration between majority and minority populations, combat social exclusion, racism and discrimination, strengthen Norwegian language and digital skills, counteract barriers to integration such as honor-related violence and forced marriage, and strengthen equality between genders. Voluntary organizations can apply for support for activities and initiatives that promote integration and contribute to increased participation in work, education, and society.

Frivillighetspakken for nye foreninger is a grant program offered by Asker kommune (Asker municipality) in Norway to support newly established voluntary organizations. The program provides financial support to new organizations that are established during the application year and cannot apply for the standard head grant or volunteer package in that year. This grant follows the same rates as the ordinary volunteer package and is available on a rolling application basis. The program is designed to help new organizations get started and establish themselves in the community, covering various types of voluntary organizations except for certain categories like parent councils (FAU), religious communities, political organizations, volunteer centers, and regional branches of associations.

Hodetilskudd for barn og unge mellom 0-19 år er part of Grunnmuren (the Foundation) in Asker municipality's grant schemes. Together with Frivillighetspakken (the Volunteer Package), it provides a non-bureaucratic, easily accessible grant for operations of voluntary organizations. The grant is designed to support general operating expenses of activities and is provided as an amount per registered member between 0-19 years of age. Organizations can receive NOK 200 per registered member aged 0-19 years. A member can be registered in multiple activities within the same organization and receive per-capita support for each activity. Support members are not eligible. The scheme aims to make it simple for sports clubs, cultural organizations, and other voluntary associations in Asker to receive operational funding.

The Aktivitetspotten is a project and activity grant program offered by Asker Kommune to support projects and activities within culture, community, sports, outdoor recreation, social and humanitarian work. The grant aims to support the realization of the municipality's thematic plans for citizenship, promote participation in activities and events, stimulate organizations to create projects and activities, and provide residents with a rich offering of experiences. The program specifically supports work aligned with the municipality's plans for physical activity, sports and outdoor recreation, culture, and citizenship, as well as the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Funding is available for projects, activities, events, and course participation that take place in Asker or benefit Asker-based organizations. Applicants can include individuals, organizations, associations, and other actors working within the eligible fields, including entities outside the municipality if the activity benefits Asker residents.
