This grant supports projects for the development of existing pilgrimage routes in Akershus, Norway, with priority given to marking, infrastructure, and overnight accommodations in preparation for the St. Olav Jubilee in 2030. The program provides funding for infrastructure improvements including marking, signage, bridges, boardwalks, stairs, rest areas, and basic toilet facilities. It also supports accommodation facilities such as hostels and guesthouses, including restoration, upgrades, and equipment purchases. Additionally, the grant funds outreach activities, products, brochures, guidebooks, and events related to the pilgrimage routes. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. Applicants can include voluntary organizations, municipalities, schools, businesses, and private individuals active in Akershus. Projects must be completed within two years of the grant award date, and applicants are expected to contribute through volunteer work or co-financing, with public actors required to provide 50% matching funds.
