Lillestrøm kommunes ulvefond
Lillestrøm kommunes ulvefond is a local fund designed to co-finance physical measures that can contribute positively for residents, agriculture, and other businesses that face challenges with the presence of wolves. The fund's resources are primarily intended for measures in Lillestrøm municipality east of the Glomma river. The fund can cover costs for measures within several areas including wolf deterrent fencing for livestock beyond what other state support schemes provide, establishment of fenced areas for dogs, protective vests for dogs, municipal damage hunting teams (including courses, training and equipment purchases), local practical management, and other physical appropriate measures. For applications regarding predator-deterrent fences for grazing animals, there is a requirement that they follow standards set by the Environmental Directorate and that they are not covered by other state subsidy schemes. Applications must be submitted to Lillestrøm municipality via email or regular post, marked with Ulvefond D47019 and reference to case 26/00161. The application should contain a description of the measure including its effect, what will be done, why, when and how, along with a budget. If the measure has received or is planned to receive co-financing from other support schemes, this must be stated in the application.
