Hetty's Hardship Fund

Hetty's Hardship Fund is designed to support Kinship Carers who have taken on parental responsibility for their grandchildren, nieces or nephews as a result of them being removed from birth parents via Social Care. The fund provides financial assistance to families in extreme hardship across four districts of North Nottinghamshire: Mansfield, Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Newark & Sherwood. Individuals and families in extreme financial hardship can receive up to £100 per child from the fund to help with essential needs. The fund aims to support kinship carers during difficult times when they face financial challenges while caring for children who have been removed from their birth parents. Eligible expenses include children's clothes and equipment, house move essentials, education essentials for children such as computers, and travel to funerals. All applications must be completed by an approved Hetty's Support Worker, ensuring that applications are properly vetted and that funds reach those most in need.

Dave Hartley Fund

The aim of the Dave Hartley Fund is to encourage community and voluntary groups and individuals, to appreciate, learn and perform music to others. Grants of up to £250 will be available to people of the Mansfield and Ashfield area. The funding can be used for the purchase of new instruments or supportive musical equipment and items to enable musical groups to develop and individuals to increase their musical ability and self esteem. Priority will be given to groups and individuals that cannot be supported through other funds. Monitoring will be requested 6 months after the grant has been awarded.

SWEF Grant Programme

SWEF awards grants of up to £2,000 to young people in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County who need support with a business investment that will transform their business that they would otherwise not be able to afford. It is particularly targeted at those who are not in education, employment or training. SWEF offers two types of grants: Start-Up Grant (up to £500 for pre-revenue or early-stage businesses) and Business Grant (up to £2,000 for established businesses with trading income). The aim of the RTC Fund is to support people in Nottinghamshire's rural areas, by making grants to community and voluntary groups serving senior citizens in their communities. This fund is available countywide excluding major urban areas.
