About this opportunity
The Department of Race, Diaspora and Indigeneity at the University of Chicago offers two prize lectureships for courses taught during the 2026-2027 academic year. This opportunity seeks proposals for engaging courses that will attract a wide range of students and draw interest from across majors. The prize lectureship is designed to support graduate students in developing and teaching innovative courses in the fields of race, diaspora, and indigeneity studies. The program is open to doctoral students in the Arts and Humanities Division who still have teaching requirements to complete, as well as students in Social Sciences Division who still have teaching requirements to complete or those who have completed their requirements and are completing additional teaching in accordance with divisional policy. Selected lecturers will have the opportunity to design and teach their own courses during the academic year.
