About this opportunity
The Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching of Anthropology is a prestigious, nomination-only, annual award established in 1997 by the American Anthropological Association to recognize outstanding anthropology teachers who have impacted the discipline through outstanding teaching and inspiration to their students. The award honors educators who have significantly contributed to the success of their students and the growth of anthropology as a discipline. The award-winning educator will receive reimbursement up to $1,000 for travel to and lodging at the AAA Annual Meeting. Successful teaching of anthropology is recognized as essential to producing successful anthropologists, and this award celebrates those dedicated educators who have made exceptional contributions to undergraduate anthropology education. This award is made possible by a gift from Carole H. Browner.
