About this opportunity

The Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scholarship was established by the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney to support outstanding senior students undertaking a high-level industrial project during a full-time six-month industry placement within the Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scheme (ESIPS). The scholarship is valued at $22,000 and is paid in equal monthly instalments over the duration of the 6-month placement. The projects are established with academic involvement through supervision from participating schools of the Faculty of Engineering. The work undertaken incorporates all the curriculum requirements of the relevant courses, and students should complete their studies in the usual timeframe required by their degree. Recipients must maintain satisfactory performance on the industry project and comply with the University of Sydney Student Placement and Projects Policy. All participants in the Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scheme program will receive this scholarship, provided they meet the eligibility criteria including being enrolled full-time in an eligible engineering degree program and having a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of at least 70. Combined degree students are also eligible to apply.
