About This Opportunity

The Faculty of Science at the University of Strathclyde offers scholarships of £1,900 to new students joining online Masters programmes in September 2026. These scholarships are available for students enrolling in online MSc programmes in Applied Statistics, Applied Statistics in Health Sciences, Applied Statistics in Finance, or Applied Statistics with Data Science. The scholarship is awarded annually for the duration of the degree, subject to academic progression, with £634 awarded per year for three-year programmes or £950 per year for two-year programmes. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to candidates who demonstrate excellent academic performance (current and/or previously gained) and any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience. Up to 30 scholarships are available. The awards will help with tuition fees for part-time online study in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis, and awards may be allocated early in the application cycle, so making an early application for admission is advised. To be eligible, candidates must be new students holding an offer of admission for an online MSc in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for September 2026 entry and must be self-funded. Students who receive full scholarships from government offices or embassies are not eligible.
