About this opportunity
First in Family Jackson Hole provides scholarships to first-generation college students in Teton County, Wyoming. The scholarship program supports current 11th-grade students whose parents or guardians do not have a four-year college degree from the US or another country. The program provides essential advising and financial support to students who do not have a family history of higher education, helping them navigate the college application process and pursue postsecondary education.
Eligible students must be current 11th-grade students in Teton County, WY, with both parents/guardians not having a four-year college degree, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above, and demonstrate financial need. The organization offers comprehensive support beyond financial assistance, treating students as if they were their own children applying to college.
The program is expanding to include a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship Track launching in 2026-27, which will support students pursuing alternative postsecondary pathways beyond traditional four-year college programs. Applications are submitted through the Teton County Scholarship Application portal.
