About This Opportunity

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program funds American citizens to study, conduct research, or teach English abroad. The program offers over 2,000 awards annually to U.S. Student Fulbrighters who exemplify the talent, innovation, and ambition found across the nation's colleges and universities. Award opportunities are open in all academic disciplines, including the creative and performing arts. The program offers several types of awards including Study/Research Awards, English Teaching Assistant Awards, the Fulbright-National Geographic Award Program, and Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health. Applicants may pursue opportunities in regions across the globe including East Asia-Pacific, Europe & Eurasia, Middle East & North Africa, South & Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Western Hemisphere. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs, as well as U.S. citizens who hold a bachelor's degree but do not have a Ph.D. Non-enrolled applicants should have relatively limited professional experience (typically 7 years or less) in the fields in which they are applying. The program also welcomes applications in the creative and performing arts.
