About this opportunity

The Wolfson Foundation provides capital grants to high-achieving state-funded secondary schools and sixth form colleges in the UK to improve facilities for teaching GCSE and A-Level subjects. The funding supports new build, refurbishment work, or technical equipment projects focused on science, computer science, design & technology, art, languages, music, and performing arts. Projects must cost at least £25,000 and aim to improve teaching quality, increase student participation, or enhance learning outcomes in subjects requiring specialist spaces and equipment. Schools must be state-funded, have at least two years of exam results, and have achieved an Ofsted rating of 'Good' or above (or equivalent). The Foundation works with educational data specialists SchoolDash to assess applications. Faith-based schools must have non-discriminatory entry policies with at least 10% of pupils from other denominations. Applications are submitted through the Foundation's online portal, with funding decisions made by an expert panel.
