About this opportunity

The KFC Youth Foundation Community Grants Programme provides grants of between £250 and £3,000 for each of two years (up to £6,000 in total) for UK grassroots organisations providing safe social spaces, mentoring, work or social skills for young people aged 11 to 25. The Foundation's vision is to support young people in the UK to fulfil their potential by making grants to charitable organisations that give young people a safe social space, mentoring, work programmes and social skills. The organisations supported tend to be small grassroots groups who work with the most vulnerable young people in their community. Grants are available for activities and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25 years old, empower all young people to fulfil their potential and build a positive future, and provide spaces that allow young people to feel safe and secure. The programme particularly supports those in a position of social disadvantage, including care leavers, those experiencing homelessness, young carers, young parents, and young people at risk of or with experience of the criminal justice system. Projects must demonstrate positive results within 12 months of receiving funding. Eligible organisations include registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), unincorporated clubs or associations, or unregistered charities in the UK with a turnover of less than £400,000. Applicants must have existed for at least 12 months, have a bank account with dual authorization, an active board of trustees or directors, signed constitution or governing documents, and a suitable safeguarding policy.
