About This Opportunity
The Lumsden St Leonard's Scholarship is open to entrant undergraduate students who have attended a Scottish or English school with a current female headteacher, and who wish to pursue a degree in the Schools of Classics, History or Modern Languages. There is a preference for students who have studied at St Leonard's School, St Andrews. The scholarship forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews. The award provides £4,400 per year paid as maintenance but can be used towards University accommodation fees. Maintenance is paid in ten monthly instalments directly to the student's bank account from September to May, with a double payment in February. This award is paid annually for the duration of the student's undergraduate programme.
