About this opportunity

This grant supports the development, testing, and evaluation of UNODC's CHAMPS (Children Amplified Prevention Services) prevention initiative as a tool to strengthen local substance abuse prevention efforts in Norwegian municipalities. The program is part of the Norwegian Directorate of Health's work to develop a national program for substance abuse prevention among children and youth. The overall goal is to achieve more evidence-based substance abuse prevention in municipalities by strengthening prevention systems at the municipal level and enhancing the use of evidence-based tools and methodologies in local prevention work. Municipalities are encouraged to apply to become pilot municipalities in close collaboration with KORUS midt and KORUS Oslo, as well as the Norwegian Directorate of Health and UNODC. Selected applicants will be invited to a digital kick-off meeting shortly after award notification, followed by a physical meeting.
