About This Opportunity
The American Musical Instrument Society is offering two small research grants ($500) for student members to carry out research relating to the study of musical instruments. Each awardee will be expected to submit a proposal based on this research to the 2027 AMIS meeting's Program Committee and to write a piece for the AMIS Newsletter. The grant supports student research in organology and musical instrument studies. Applicants must be current AMIS members and have student status as of June 1. The program aims to encourage emerging scholars in the field of musical instrument research and provide them with opportunities to present their findings at the annual AMIS meeting.
