Frequently asked questions

General Questions

What is Grantory?

Grantory is an AI-powered grant management platform that connects funding organizations with applicants. We help funders publish and manage their funding opportunities, while helping applicants discover and apply for relevant grants, scholarships, and funding programs.

Is Grantory free to use?

Yes, creating an account and browsing funding opportunities is completely free. Applicants can search for grants, save favorites, and submit applications at no cost. Funding organizations may have premium features available for enhanced management capabilities.

How does the AI matching work?

Our AI analyzes your profile, interests, and eligibility criteria to recommend funding opportunities that are a good match for you. The more complete your profile, the better our recommendations become. All AI-generated content is clearly marked, and important decisions always involve human review.

For Applicants

How do I find funding opportunities?

You can browse all available opportunities on our Opportunities page. Use filters to narrow down by category, location, funding amount, and deadline. Once you create a profile, we'll also provide personalized recommendations based on your eligibility.

Can I apply as an individual or organization?

Both! Grantory supports individual applicants (researchers, students, entrepreneurs) as well as organizations (nonprofits, companies, institutions). You can create the appropriate profile type when you sign up, and you can have multiple profiles if needed.

How do I track my applications?

Once logged in, you can view all your submitted applications in your dashboard. You'll see the status of each application (draft, submitted, under review, etc.) and receive notifications when there are updates. You can also save opportunities to your favorites for later.

What if I need help with my application?

Our AI assistant can help you understand opportunity requirements, suggest improvements to your application, and ensure you've completed all required fields. However, the final content is always yours - we believe in augmenting human capabilities, not replacing them.

For Funders

How do I list my funding opportunities?

Create a funder account and set up your organization profile. Then you can create funding opportunities with detailed descriptions, eligibility criteria, application forms, and deadlines. Your opportunities will be visible to applicants who match your criteria.

Can I create custom application forms?

Yes, our form builder allows you to create custom application forms with various field types including text, numbers, dates, file uploads, and more. You can make fields required or optional and organize them into sections for better applicant experience.

How do I manage team access?

You can invite team members to your organization and assign them different roles. Administrators have full access, while reviewers can view and score applications. This makes it easy to collaborate on application review and decision-making.

Privacy & Security

How is my data protected?

We take data security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We're GDPR compliant and follow industry best practices for security. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Who can see my application data?

Your application data is only shared with the funding organization you apply to. Other funders cannot see your applications. Our internal team may access data for support purposes, but this is logged and restricted to necessary personnel.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes, you can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
