About this opportunity
The Ages Foundation Research Fellowship & Bursaries program allows graduate students to conduct environmental research at the rare Charitable Research Reserve in Waterloo Region. The program provides monetary awards to ensure successful candidates have the necessary resources to conduct and report on their research at this relatively undisturbed, yet highly accessible site. Applications that utilize multiple knowledge systems and diverse methodologies are prioritized. The program supports diverse, inclusive and equitable practices and approaches to environmental issues while working toward meaningful reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. The fellowship includes a designated BIPOC award to support Black, Indigenous and other People of Colour pursuing graduate studies and making environmental contributions through science, art and diverse inquiry. Students must conduct research on rare property between May 2025 and April 2026.
