About This Opportunity

The Cammick Scholarship supports students majoring in performance at the New Zealand School of Music—Te Kōkī at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Established using funds from the Graeme Cammick Property Trust, this scholarship honors Graeme Cammick who died in 2020 and had a lifelong interest in music, particularly voice, and was a regular attendee at NZSM lunchtime concerts. The scholarship alternates annually between exceptional voice students and students of other instruments or composition. It is designed to support students who are intending to further their study overseas or at NZSM, undertake performances in New Zealand, or engage in similar academic advancement or development activities. The scholarship can be used to fund overseas study, performance experiences in New Zealand, and further study at the New Zealand School of Music—Te Kōkī, particularly for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it. For those who remain at NZSM, funds can be applied toward fees, overseas short-courses, and other development opportunities. Recipients are expected to demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music through participation in performances and events.
