About this opportunity
The Coke Florida Refreshing Minds Scholarship is a partnership between Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC and the Florida Prepaid College Foundation through its Path to Prosperity Program. The scholarship awards either a 2-year or 4-year Florida Prepaid Plan to eligible high school seniors. The program is specifically designed for students residing in designated priority zip codes within the Coke Florida service area, specifically Sarasota 34234 and Manatee 34207, 34208, 34221.
To be eligible, students must be members in good standing with identified community partners including Boys & Girls Clubs Florida Alliance or Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida. These organizations provide enrichment and support programs to their members and assist students with the scholarship application process. Students must be Florida residents with a valid Social Security Number, currently in high school (not having completed 12th grade), under the age of 21, and remain drug and crime-free.
The application process requires students to submit a typed essay not exceeding 250 words, provide a letter of reference from a teacher, school official, or community member, and submit an acceptance letter to a Florida public university, college, technical or vocational school. Students awaiting acceptance may apply and will be given a grace period to submit the required documentation after the application deadline. The scholarship is need-based and is not renewable.
