About this opportunity
The Douglas Jamieson Aboriginal Scholarship was established in 2014 to provide financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students undertaking undergraduate studies in Science or Engineering at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a donation from Douglas Jamieson and provides $8,500 per year for up to 5 years of full-time study or part-time equivalent. The scholarship aims to support students from rural, regional or remote areas of Australia who can demonstrate financial disadvantage. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 50 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. Note: This scholarship is currently no longer being offered, though it represents an important funding opportunity established to support Indigenous students in STEM fields.
