About This Opportunity

The dsm-firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship offers five impactful young leaders the opportunity to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. The scholarship is designed to support young entrepreneurs making local or global impact in communities around the world. The foundation focuses on driving sustainable change, empowering communities, and supporting the next generation of changemakers. The scholarship specifically targets young leaders working in three key focus areas: Fighting Malnutrition (including initiatives addressing micronutrient deficiencies and ensuring food with highest quality and nutritional value reaches the most vulnerable), Strengthening Community Resilience (addressing social inequality and strengthening community resilience), and Protecting and Restoring Ecosystems (building nature's resilience by addressing climate action, biodiversity protection and safeguarding water systems). Scholars receive comprehensive support including access to the Summit, hotel accommodation from October 31 to November 8, economy flights to and from Cape Town, full catering (breakfast at hotel, lunch and dinner during Summit), ground transport between accommodation and venue, and pre and post-programme activities in Cape Town with the opportunity to join the dsm-firmenich delegation during the Summit. The scholarship is particularly focused on candidates from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America who have 3-5 years of business experience, preferably running their own enterprise.
