About This Opportunity

The F H Loxton Undergraduate Scholarship in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is a $20,000 scholarship established under the will of Francis Henry Loxton for male students studying chemical engineering at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is valued at $20,000 per annum and is tenable for up to four years, providing financial support to current school leavers from regional or remote areas of Australia who are commencing full-time undergraduate degrees in chemical and biomolecular engineering. The scholarship was created through a bequest by Francis Henry Loxton, who designated a portion of his income for establishing and maintaining scholarships specifically for male students in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance with a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The scholarship is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. While primarily for full-time students, part-time study may be approved in extenuating circumstances such as medical conditions, with payments adjusted on a pro-rata basis. The scholarship cannot be deferred, suspended, or transferred to another school, faculty, or university, and is subject to the availability of funds.
